Any Francine Rivers book is always a good read, but I really enjoyed this one. I didn't pick it up for the longest time, because the title put me off a bit. Now, however, I highly recommend it! The book is a first person account of a young girl growing up in the Appalachian mountains. The book follows her search for forgiveness, as she wades through the superstitions of the mountain people before arriving at the Truth. Find this book at: Too Busy Not to Pray
Author: Bill Hybels
This book is a must read for anybody who desires a closer relationship with God. Hybels has some very practical tips for learning how to slow down and spend time in effective prayer. He also has a lot of neat things to say about prayer being two way communication - talking to God & listening to God. I learned SO much from this book!! Find this book at:
